Rookie Year: Greg Little

This is the first installment of the Rookie year series. In the coming months theres going to be a lot of shifting and moving in the fantasy football world and it is important to stay up on all the newest info. It's tough to know how well a player played just by looking at the stats. I'm going to be taking a look at few rookie years and tell you what I'm seeing from a few different perspectives(situation, development, potential).

Little's rookie year

When you look at the stats as a whole, they arn't entirely that impressive.

-61 catches is good not sure about the 709 part.
-he also had a 76 yarder week 16 to bring his YPC down even more.
-love the 120 targets part, but only getting 61 catches on that...ehhhh
- only getting 2 TDs also, thats surprising to me with the way I know Little Plays

 Then I watched these:

After watching these, I decided it was more the system holding him back that anything else. You could see flashes of the run after catch ability that he showed in college, I just dont think the Browns put him in very good positions to get the ball. It seems like the defense was very condensed and when he actually got the ball , there were 2 or 3 guys around him immediately.

We also have to remember that he is still new to the position and developing. After playing one year of WR at North Carolina he sat out his junior year, so this was his first time back to football in a while.

All in all, I was more encouraged than discouraged by what I saw in the video's. The kid has loads of talent, If he keeps working hard I can see him being fantasy relevant as soon as next year. Hopefully the Browns draft another offensive weapon or QB to go with Little, but I guess well just have to wait and see on that.
